Children's Volunteer Health Network, an organization that provides free access to dental and mental health services to children in need in Northwest Florida, has announced the arrival of its second mobile dental clinic. The local community is invited to gather at Grand Boulevard on Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., for an exciting bus unveiling. Community members will be able to enjoy refreshments, and lawn games, meet Mr. and Mrs. Tooth, tour the bus, and hear from CVHN team members about the new services coming to Northwest Florida.

Hotel Effie has partnered with the Emerald Coast Autism Center for a special one-night event hosted by celebrity chef Hugh Acheson on July 15 at 6pm-10pm. The pre-fixe dinner will take place at the hotel’s signature restaurant, Ovide, nestled in the heart of the world-famous Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.

The Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF) is pleased to announce that the 17th Annual Destin Charity Wine Auction presented by the Jumonville Family raised more than $3.8 million for children in need in Northwest Florida. The record-breaking results are a staggering $1.8 million increase over the previous year.

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Month, Sundog Books in Seaside, Florida, is donating a children's or young adult book to every Walton County teacher to help stock classroom libraries. All Walton County teachers with a current teacher identification badge can visit Sundog Books from May 1 to June 30 to select a free children's or young adult book of their choice to be used in their classroom libraries.

On a sunny and brisk Sunday, February 20th, 2022, 3,200 runners from the local area and 40 states took their places at the start line in the New Urbanism town of Seaside, Florida, to participate in the 20th running of the Seaside School Half Marathon and 5K. The Seaside School Foundation proudly reports that over $700,000 was raised to benefit the Seaside School, Inc., through Seaside Race Weekend efforts.

The Fashion Show will take place Sunday, February 20, at 12:30 p.m. “Our Spring Fashion Show gives us an opportunity to showcase some of the fabulous items that are donated to Caring & Sharing throughout the year,” says Carly Barnes, executive director of Caring & Sharing of South Walton. “Everything you see in the show has been pulled from our Boutique and is modeled by a Caring & Sharing volunteer.”

The event is presented by and hosted at the stunning Dugas Estate in a lavish gathering of fine wine, food, and spirits. The beneficiary of the event is Children's Volunteer Health Network. The weekend will include vintners, incredible food, live music, fireworks, and VIE magazine's exclusive 100th Issue celebration, all for a great cause!

VIE was thrilled to hear of the return of the local favorite Harvest Wine and Food Festival. The festival is produced each year by Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF). It returned on Saturday, November 6, for its fifth annual event after a year’s hiatus due to the pandemic and raised over $100,000 to help children in need in Northwest Florida. The mission is simple: to connect wine enthusiasts to raise money to benefit children in need in NW Florida. Cheers to all of the distributors, chefs, sponsors, and guests for making the grand tasting such a wonderful event year after year!

When we live in a community abounding with beautiful beaches and gorgeous luxury homes, it is imperative to remind ourselves that this is not the reality for most of our world. At VIE, we feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to support important causes through partnerships with real-world heroes. As some of you may already know, our VIE Beach House Show Home, seen in our April 2021 Issue, was built to give back not only to our community but to others around the globe who need it the most. With the help of the home's developers Jim and Suzy Accola, we partnered with The Sonder Project and Food For Thought Outreach to donate a portion of the proceeds from the home's sale.

Army veteran, Geoff Speyrer, is the highlight of the SET-22 event, held on 21-22 May 21, starting at 12:00 midnight, Harbor Tavern, Destin, Florida. The endurance event will start on Friday (21 May) and continue throughout the night and into the next day/evening, Saturday (22 May). The event will end with an after-party scheduled at Harbor Tavern. There will be aid stations and opportunities to sponsor along the way, so show your support and cheer Geoff on as he brings awareness to veteran suicide/races to the finish.

Nearly 1,700 runners participated in the 19th Annual Seaside School Virtual Half Marathon and 5K race from Sunday, February 14th to Sunday, February 28th, 2021. Ranging in ages from two to 82 years-old, participants represented 37 states and various countries including Spain, the United Kingdom and Canada.

At VIE, we believe in the power of community. To us, this means showing up and supporting those around us who need it the most. Cameron Davis is a local fifteen-year-old girl from Northwest Florida diagnosed in the past couple of years with Chronic Ehlers Danlos Ligament Disease. This condition results in joint dislocations and chronic body pain.
