The spectacular culinary showcase will allow attendees to meet and interact with chef Acheson during the dinner, which will include a multi-course menu, showcasing Acheson’s creativity and passion for distinctive ingredients and cooking techniques by fusing coastal cuisine with a sophisticated French influence.

The evening will also include wine pairings by Presqu’ile Winemaker and Dieter Cronje, a silent auction, special guest speakers, and a magical cocktail reception. The reception will be hosted by renowned mixologist Kellie Thorn, who has received considerable recognition for her craft cocktails.

A portion of the night’s proceeds will be donated to the Emerald Coast Autism Center (ECAC), a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to educating and improving the lives of individuals with autism in Okaloosa and Walton counties and surrounding areas. Every dollar raised for this evening’s event will be matched dollar for dollar by a matching grant that has been generously put in place by the Dugas family, a supporter of ECAC.

Ovide is Hotel Effie’s signature fine-dining restaurant. Its menu combines Chef Acheson’s love of French cuisine and methods with Southern hospitality and fresh Gulf seafood, along with a carefully curated list of wine, beer, and craft cocktails.

Ovide is the first restaurant in Florida by Chef Hugh Acheson, a six-time James Beard nominee and 2012 winner for Best Chef Southeast. Aside from Chef Hugh’s more recent debut to the Sunshine State, he has also made his mark in Hollywood. In 2010, Acheson competed on Bravo’s “Top Chef Masters: Season 3” and he returned to the hit series as a judge on “Top Chef” as well as “Top Chef: Duels.” He also hosted Bravo’s online complement to “Top Chef Masters” Season 5, “Battle of the Sous Chefs.”

The tickets to the event are $500, with 20% of the proceeds benefiting the Emerald Coast Autism Center. Each ticket includes a copy of Chef Hugh’s best-selling book and a complimentary one-night stay at Hotel Effie, situated on Florida’s emerald coast, to be used from September-December 2022.
