DIY: Wine Cork Projects

Fall is the great equalizer. Time itself seems to slow down, yet the cooler temperatures and thinning crowds invigorate me. Still, I like to curl up on the patio with a glass of wine and watch butterflies flitter about, prepping for the winter months. I can’t help but notice that people do the same thing. As soon as we get that first whiff of fall air on that first crisp morning, we begin the process of making our homes ready for the cooped up months to come. It’s the perfect opportunity to get creative with your wine cork stash. Here are a few DIYs to try with a glass of wine. (Or two!)

DIY-Wine-Cork-Wreath

Wine Cork Wreath

The only thing more welcoming than a wine cork wreath on a door is the wine itself waiting for you on the other side. This wreath gives entryways a classic look that transcends all seasons.

Wine Cork Sculpture

There are some pretty imaginative ways to reuse wine corks, but a giraffe sculpture goes above and beyond. All you need is a wire hanger (sorry Mommy Dearest!), a hot glue gun, newspaper, wood glue, and, of course, wine corks. To liven up your bar space with a new friend, get the tutorial here!

DIY-Wine-Cork-Monogram-Letter

Monogram Letter

This monogram letter looks great just about anywhere around the house, and it’s easy to create, too! Just pick up a wooden letter from a craft store and use a hot glue gun to attach the corks. Get DIY instructions here!
