Behind the Scenes: Dear Prudence Foundation

This morning, the VIE office played host to a film crew working with the Dear Prudence Foundation, a new scholarship program founded by Prudence Bruns, who is a local inspiration, transcendental meditation guru, old friend/muse to The Beatles, and good friend of our publisher, Lisa Burwell.

The foundation’s mission is “Bringing the wisdom of the transcendental Self from the ancient Rishis of India to the yoga community around the world and all those interested in a more enlightened lifestyle.”

Renowned documentary filmmaker and managing director of the foundation, Shannon McCoy Cohn, held an interview with Lisa about the story behind VIE and its positive influence in the world so far, which will be featured as an inspirational story on the Dear Prudence Foundation website. Shannon shared a few pretty amazing stories of her own with us about her life as a traveler and filmmaker, and some adventures she had while filming Sea Nation, which has already aired on Discovery Channel in over 60 countries! We love meeting other positive, creative individuals and hope to work with her again in the future!
