L’amour
It’s All You Need.
Silent living is a concept that encourages authentic connection and a lifestyle of happiness and fulfillment. Silent Living Retreat Homes is headed by seasoned hospitality professional and hotelier Joäo Rodrigues and his family, who collectively transformed this property into their family home and graciously open its doors to guests each year. Santa Clara 1728 is one of five Silent Living homes throughout Portugal, located in the Old Cultural Quarter of Lisbon. Here, the magic is in the details. Limestone marble, called “Lioz” from the foothills of Sintra, pine wood floors, and handmade tiles were used in renovating this eighteenth-century property to pay homage to Lisbon’s oldest palaces, churches, and monuments. Every space fosters the fullness of the Portuguese lifestyle: expansive views of the city and river, food served at a central communal table, the spirit of family, meticulously handcrafted custom furniture, and the invitation to gather together while being fully present. Dare we say it’s a perfect honeymoon retreat?
