VIE Teams Up With Boukou Groove
On November 8, Boukou Groove partnered with VIE and FIRE Restaurant at Gulf Place to host the CD release party for their debut record: “A Lil’ Boukou In Your Cup,” wowing their crowd with their performance while sharing what it means to be a soulful, funk band. Amy Walchak of Avalon Photography shot some incredible photos of the band’s performance that night, and proceeds from the night went to the Judy and Steve Turner Heart and Vascular Center at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast.
VIE is excited to feature Donnie Sundal, Derwin “Big D” Perkins and Boukou Groove for its January/February issue—The Men’s Issue! Two years ago, Perkins and Sundal officially named themselves Boukou Groove and have made their mark on local venues and Southeastern states, while hoping to spread their title more in the months to come. The feature will also detail VIE’s role in the filming of a documentary on the band and what it takes to create an album. Stay tuned for the full details in the January/February issue of VIE!
