The Courtyard at Pescado in Rosemary Beach, Florida, will host a Wine and Food Tasting hosted by Breakthru Beverage on Wednesday, February 10 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. with advanced sommelier Jonathan Ramsey. Guests will enjoy light bites and excellent wines while learning about the varietals from an expert. Tickets are being offered at $75 plus tax. Who is Jonathan Ramsey?

Jonathan Ramsey attended the University of Georgia in Athens, where he studied biology and English education. In 2006, Jonathan joined Premier Beverage Company in Jacksonville, Florida, as a sales consultant in the hotel and restaurant wine division, where he was awarded salesperson of the year in 2009, 2010, and 2011. As a result of his proven sales success and exceptional wine knowledge, Jonathan was promoted to the Premium ADS Fine Wine position within the Augustan Wine Imports team in 2012, covering the vast North Florida market (Daytona to Tallahassee). In 2015, Jonathan was promoted to area manager for North Florida (Orlando to Pensacola) for Augustan. In 2017, he became the company’s sales and business manager, managing winery relationships and further curating the fine wine portfolio.

During his years in the business, Jonathan completed Journeyman Product Knowledge courses in both wine and spirits with honors, earning him the rare “Beyond Excellence” award from Charmer Sunbelt. He also has received certifications through the Court of Master Sommeliers, The Society of Wine Educators and the Wine & Spirits Education Trust, with whom he is a certified instructor for the WSET L2 program.
