The Seaside School Half Marathon & 5K, presented by SEASIDE®, is back, launching its 22nd year of racing. Registration, presented by Visit South Walton, is now open for Race Weekend from February 16–18, 2024, further establishing this event as a signature running event and paramount fundraiser in Northwest Florida. Every year, athletes from around the world converge in Seaside, Florida, for this fundraiser benefiting The Seaside School.

The Daytrader will begin welcoming guests on Tuesday, May 23.

Ryanhood is bringing their high-energy, big-harmony, dueling acoustic guitar approach to Santa Rosa Beach for two shows, December 16 & 17, 2022. "A Winter’s Evening with Ryanhood,” is a live holiday touring show based on the duo’s award-winning album, On Christmas. An evening of songs and storytelling, heartstrings and laughter, the show features a blend of original holiday compositions, wintry covers, and reworked classics woven together with holiday stories and memories.

Northwest Florida chef and restaurateur Jim Shirley received the 2022 Torch Award presented by the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association (FRLA) and is bestowed each year at the organization’s Florida Restaurant & Lodging Show in Orlando. The award was presented to Chef Jim during the FRLA fall board meeting on November 3 at the Caribe Royale Resort.

Fresh off their sold-out performances at the Edinburgh Fringe, distinguished artists Gavin Robertson and Nicholas Collett return to Seaside and light up The REP's new season. The Fall Play Series features the innovative work of Nic and Gavin with three different shows over three weeks that will provide endless entertainment. The series takes REP audiences on an epic spy adventure with Agent 007 in Bond: An Unauthorized Parody, encounters spooky tales with a comedic twist in The Ghost Of A Smile, and unravels a mysterious whodunnit in Done To Death, By Jove!

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Month, Sundog Books in Seaside, Florida, is donating a children's or young adult book to every Walton County teacher to help stock classroom libraries. All Walton County teachers with a current teacher identification badge can visit Sundog Books from May 1 to June 30 to select a free children's or young adult book of their choice to be used in their classroom libraries.

On a sunny and brisk Sunday, February 20th, 2022, 3,200 runners from the local area and 40 states took their places at the start line in the New Urbanism town of Seaside, Florida, to participate in the 20th running of the Seaside School Half Marathon and 5K. The Seaside School Foundation proudly reports that over $700,000 was raised to benefit the Seaside School, Inc., through Seaside Race Weekend efforts.
