Art Month Walton County, an initiative led by the Cultural Arts Alliance (CAA) of Walton County and sponsored in part by Visit South Walton, will provide a full month of creative offerings in May, including the “Under The Sea” fundraiser for the Underwater Museum of Art, 35th Annual ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival, Longleaf Writers Conference, Digital Graffiti at Alys Beach, The Sound of Music at Emerald Coast Theatre Company, Open Mic Night with Emerald Coast Storytellers, Sinfonia Goes Pop in Alys Beach, events at The Foster Gallery, and more. All happenings take place in Walton County and are part of the Art Month mission to bring together communities, organizations and businesses to present quality and diverse arts entertainment.

The Conrad New York Downtown pays homage to Austrian symbolist painter Gustav Klimt with special, limited-time-only interiors in its iconic Conrad Suite penthouse. The 1,500-square-foot “Conrad Gold in Motion Suite” has been decked out with over thirty floral arrangements and an oversized statement piece by Florabrook, exclusive Gustav Klimt art prints, and a partnership with the Klimt exhibit at Hall des Lumières digital art museum through March 31, 2023.

VIE magazine is thrilled to share that the 6th Annual Harvest Wine & Food Festival by DCWAF weekend was the most successful festival to date, with all eight events sold out well in advance! Women have played vital and sustained roles in the making and advancement of photography since its invention, more so than in any other visual medium. Unfortunately, this contribution has often been overshadowed by a myopic focus on photography by men throughout the medium's history. On Friday, August 3rd, 2022, J.Leon Gallery + Studio, the area's newest fine art gallery, hosted its monthly Sip N' Stroll event, where three new artists debuted in the gallery's Fall show. In honor of Teacher Appreciation Month, Sundog Books in Seaside, Florida, is donating a children's or young adult book to every Walton County teacher to help stock classroom libraries. All Walton County teachers with a current teacher identification badge can visit Sundog Books from May 1 to June 30 to select a free children's or young adult book of their choice to be used in their classroom libraries.
