The iconic style evolved amid the World Wars, presenting itself through skyscrapers, automobiles, fashion, advertising, appliances, and everyday home items. Designers and consumers were drawn to the glamorous and nuanced look. Art Deco symbolized modernity, sophistication, luxury, and optimism and still holds fascination today for the fundamental appeal of its decorative qualities.
