Ideally situated less than an hour’s drive from the bustle of New York City, a dreamy winter wonderland awaits. The Ranch’s newest property sits on two hundred acres of lush forest in Lower Hudson Valley, set on a historic, private lakefront estate. The brand’s award-winning Malibu location quickly garnered press for its results-oriented and highly structured wellness programs, attended by A-list celebrities and C-Suite executives. The opening of The Ranch Hudson Valley in April 2024 marks its first East Coast location. While you will surely recognize elements of The Ranch experience you would receive in Malibu, there are many delightful new additions, including its newly unveiled Winter Wellness Programming.

The Ranch Hudson Valley offers a variety of programming lengths designed to accommodate at most twenty-five guests for maximized personal attention and connection. After selecting a date frame between three nights and five days, one will partake in mountain hikes, strength training classes, restorative yoga, deep tissue massages, and organic plant-based meals. Your schedule will be fully customized to your unique needs and abilities, with program cornerstones designed to improve mental and physical health, foster human connection, and create meaningful and positive change.

The Ranch Hudson Valley

In each program, the day begins with a morning stretch and breakfast. Then, embark on your choice of a two-hour or four-hour group hike. The Ranch coordinates breathtaking excursions to nearby Ringwood State Park or Harriman State Park, which collectively host hundreds of miles of trails. As your focus shifts to the path in front of you, your feet will guide you along streams, lakes, waterfalls, and peaks before ending with awe-inspiring views of the surrounding mountains and the Hudson River.

Once guests return from their treks, they’ll enjoy a plant-based lunch and naptime before afternoon programming. This timeframe typically calls for a second dose of daily movement through strength training classes or restorative yoga in the two-thousand-square-foot gym. Formerly the estate’s ballroom, the Ranch’s gym showcases timeless elements like classic wood paneling, a grand fireplace, and an intricate sculptured plaster ceiling. Guests also receive daily massages during this time to further aid recovery while promoting nervous system relaxation.

As with all meals at The Ranch, dinner is prepared by a team of award-winning chefs who source the highest-quality seasonal and organic ingredients from nearby farms. Each dish is mindfully crafted to be nutritionally balanced while assisting the body in cleansing and detoxification. To further enhance the group experience, meals are enjoyed at the communal table in the estate’s former sunroom; staff members also use this time to teach transformative tools to ensure lasting health and sustainable habits well after the guests’ Ranch experiences.

The Winter Wellness Program offers a tranquil environment for guests willing to brave the snow for solace. The trails are often empty in the cooler months, allowing you to drop in and experience a deep appreciation for nature. Guided snowshoeing adventures are another recent programming addition. The Ranch is prepared for these invigorating temperatures, providing guests with specialized winter gear to ensure safe and enjoyable outdoor excursions.

Seasonal indoor activities like Signature Ranch Water Polo in the property’s five-thousand-square-foot solarium offer a fresh take on fitness. Sledding on the back lawn is always available after snowfall and will leave you in high spirits. Winter-exclusive spin classes may be available during inclement weather, while the infrared sauna is always available to assist in detoxification and restoration. You can also cozy up during fireside fitness sessions in the Ranch Gym while taking yoga, Pilates, meditation, or strength training classes.

Know that you will always be learning habits to supercharge your health, and the recently added Breathe & Plunge class is a prime example. By alternating between energizing hot and cold plunges and a series of breathwork, you will calm the nervous system while enhancing your mindset and lung capacity. Energy healing, hypnotherapy, and Reiki sessions are also available to clear blockages and connect with one’s intuitive self.
