Spring Is in Bloom
May 2025
The Season of Renewal
Spring has arrived once more, bringing with it a sense of renewal and optimism. It has been a wonderful season here on the Northwest Florida coast, and I’m filled with gratitude for all that I have.
From its inception, VIE has always focused on the positive and beautiful aspects of life, promoting inspiration and loveliness. Our headquarters are located in an idyllic beach town, and many of our readers have a taste for luxury and refinement when they travel. This issue is dedicated to uncovering hidden gems and new experiences.
The ups, downs, twists, and turns of life’s journey (to paraphrase Dr. Seuss’s final book, Oh, The Places You’ll Go!) can lead to unexpected discoveries and awakenings. Travel has always fueled my imagination and allowed me to explore life’s nuances.
As a New England native, I am thrilled with the cover of this issue, which beautifully captures the classic charm that people often associate with one of my favorite regions in the country. The April 2025 Culinary Issue of VIE featured the stunning coastal Maine wedding of my nephew Bobby Crowley and his bride, KeYana, in an article titled “A New England Wedding Paints an Autumnal Masterpiece.” The wedding took place in the picturesque town of Ogunquit during the peak of fall foliage season and provided a long-awaited family reunion.
Cliff House Maine in Cape Neddick and The Dunes on the Waterfront in Ogunquit were the perfect venues for our family’s gathering. Ogunquit was named the No. 1 Vacation Destination for 2024 by Real Simple magazine, while The Dunes on the Waterfront was recently included in Travel + Leisure’s 2025 It List: 100 Best New Hotels in the World and was ranked among the Best New U.S. Resorts. Additionally, Cliff House Maine received a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star rating for 2023, the only global rating system for luxury hotels, restaurants, spas, and ocean cruises.
Discover the charm of these quintessential New England getaways in “The Dunes on the Waterfront – An Idyllic Getaway Back in Time” by Meghan Ryan Asbury and “Serenity at Cliff House, Maine” by Franco Grimaldi, both featured in this issue. I hope you have the opportunity to explore these fantastic locations that we were fortunate enough to experience.
The memories that connect us with friends and family in picturesque settings, with blue skies overhead, will last a lifetime. We are grateful for the opportunity to soak up all the beauty and love that life has to offer. Until we meet again, Ogunquit, Maine.
To life!
