RH (formerly Restoration Hardware) is known for creating stunning furniture and unique lifestyle experiences. With iconic pieces like The Cloud Sofa and an expansion into hospitality featuring twenty-two fine-dining restaurants across North America, the brand doesn’t adhere to the idea of what is “expected.” The most recent development in the RH design philosophy could be its most innovative yet. RH Three is a groundbreaking expedition yacht that embodies the brand’s signature style, exceptional craftsmanship, and a wide range of luxurious amenities on board.

The thirty-nine-meter custom expedition yacht was retrofitted to accommodate eight guests. It features four separate cabins for maximized spaciousness and luxury. A one-to-one guest-to-staff ratio ensures top-class service and a highly curated experience tailored to each individual’s unique needs.

RH has expanded its hospitality portfolio in recent years, including the opening of the bespoke hotel, RH Guesthouse, in New York City, with six guest rooms, three suites, one residence, a restaurant, and the Champagne & Caviar Bar. The brand also launched private Gulfstream jets named RH One and RH Two. However, the company initially had no immediate plans to enter the yachting industry. The idea for the project was sparked by coincidence (or fate) when a Belgian designer contacted RH Chairman and CEO Gary Friedman after spotting a luxury yacht named RH3 for sale by an independent owner. After touring the boat with the design team in Sicily, RH officially acquired the yacht in 2019 and renamed it RH Three. From there, they began the necessary refurbishment to make the vessel a seamless addition to the brand.

Upon boarding, guests are welcomed into The Salon, the first of several indoor-outdoor lounge and dining areas. This space showcases RH’s signature elegance, featuring champagne lacquer, wire-brushed white oak, caramel Italian leather, and charcoal performance velvet. These elements are beautifully complemented by custom lighting designed by PSLab, creating a striking contrast with the sleek metallic exterior of the space.

Also located on the main deck, the Primary Cabin offers a seamless transition from the sea to peaceful dreams. Floor-to-ceiling windows reflect the water onto the luminous lacquered panels overhead, and Swiss percale bedding and handwoven cashmere throws were selected for the most well-rested sleep.

Privacy was clearly considered during the refurbishment, as there are numerous spaces to retreat for a moment of solace. The Primary Cabin includes a private lounge and office area, while multiple indoor and outdoor seating areas are available for additional guests. Three more guest cabins are on the upper deck, each distinctively designed to emulate sand, sea, and sky.

First, toast to the evening on the Sunset Terrace, then tone up with the onboard fitness offerings the next morning. The outdoor gym at RH Three is situated on the upper deck and offers a wide range of fitness equipment. This includes Pent Fitness free weights and kettlebells (crafted from stainless steel and American walnut) as well as yoga mats, push-up bars, and foam rollers. When in port, private fitness classes can also be arranged. There’s no better way to end the evening than by sipping champagne in the Sunset Terrace, the yacht’s highest point, which offers panoramic views for soaking up the scenery.

Free-spirited passengers will fall in love with the bespoke expedition chase boat, a unique amenity not found on any other yacht of this size. This chase boat is just one part of RH Three’s extensive fleet, including sea bobs, paddleboards, carbon fiber kayaks, a wave runner, and water skiing and wakeboarding equipment. Of course, the entire collection is finished to match the yacht’s signature Phantom Grey and metallic champagne palette. It truly is a treasure trove of water toys waiting to be explored—and the Rolls-Royce engine in the chase boat ensures unforgettable day trips to hidden beaches along the coast.
