Runways of the world – Fall/winter ’22
Paris Haute Couture shows started the year off boldly with daring styles that conveyed renewed energy as fashion brands strive to lift consumers from the slump of the pandemic. New York Fashion Week continued the trend, with designers showing bright neon colors, eccentric patterns, and daring silhouettes for Fall/Winter 2022. Christian Siriano dazzled with royal blues and blacks, while Alice + Olivia brought edgy chicness. The slightly zany expressiveness in many collections seemed to surpass past fashion weeks, indicating that the pendulum of style has swung in a new direction, hopefully leaving sweatpants behind for a while.
