L’intermission – The Superfood Hunter

Darin Olien is on a mission to improve the health of people and the planet. He is the cohost of the Emmy-winning Netflix docuseries Down to Earth with Zac Efron, New York Times best-selling author of SuperLife and his new book, Fatal Conveniences, the original creator of Shakeology, founder of Barukas, and the one-and-only Superfood Hunter. Olien’s natural curiosity for growth and nutrition led him all over the planet to discover new and underutilized exotic foods and medicinal plants. His latest book, Fatal Conveniences, was inspired by his father’s experience with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), where low levels of toxic, everyday-type chemicals found in products like lotions, laundry detergents, and shampoos trigger physical symptoms such as headaches, brain fog, fatigue, and memory loss. Fatal Conveniences unearths how deep the issue of hidden harmful chemicals in our products runs and the major role corporations and the government play.
