Arlo Hotels, known for its lifestyle-driven approach, is expanding with the topping off of Arlo Washington D.C., a boutique hotel opening in a historic residential building. With properties in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Miami, and Chicago, this will be the brand’s seventh US property and first in Washington, D.C.

This boutique hotel, owned by Quadrum Global, blends modernity with history by preserving D.C.’s oldest conventional apartment building, The Harrison Apartment, while adding new contemporary spaces. Arlo Washington D.C. will restore and preserve the original 42,942 square feet of the five-story conventional apartment that has stood since 1882, while adding 186,904 square feet of contemporary spaces. Floors six through twelve will include meeting rooms, a rooftop lounge, and a pool. A restaurant and bar, a “bodega” cafe and lounge, and an interior courtyard will also be added.

It is an honor to restore and breathe new life into one of D.C.’s historic properties

“We are excited to expand the Arlo Hotels brand into new cities and bring our community-centered programming to broader audiences,” said Oleg Pavlov, founder and CEO of Quadrum Global and Arlo Hotels. “It is an honor to restore and breathe new life into one of D.C.’s historic properties, which sat vacant for approximately 15 years. We will honor the legacy of this building by making it a welcoming place for the entire D.C. community and creating experiences that capture the destination’s identity.”

Conveniently located near Union Station and major landmarks such as The Capitol and the Supreme Court, the 445-room hotel caters to leisure and business travelers alike. Additionally, its proximity to fine dining establishments and upscale shopping adds to the allure, providing guests with a perfect blend of luxury and convenience. Collaborations with renowned design firms and a commitment to local experiences define Arlo Hotels’ ethos, inviting guests to feel at home while exploring each destination.
