Originally based out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the FARM Rio brand was born in a small booth of an independent market run by two friends: Kátia Barros and Marcello Bastos. Flourishing into the lifestyle brand of Rio with over eighty-six storefronts, FARM Rio continued to thrive, eventually expanding worldwide. Holding nature and sustainability as some of its most significant inspirations, FARM Rio partners with One Tree Planted, which aids in reforestation efforts in all Brazilian biomes: the Amazon rainforest – the largest rainforest in the world and thier home, the Atlantic Forest, Caatinga, Cerrado, Pampa & Pantanal. With every purchase, the dollar amount equivalent to one tree is donated. The effort has surpassed one million trees planted so far, with no end in sight.
