In honor of launching the highly anticipated Selva Adentro collection, BAOBAB swimwear held a runway show that showcased its impressive production lineup for High Summer ’24. Madagascar served as the perfect location, as the line was inspired by the iconic Baobab tree, which is perceived as a powerful symbol of BAOBAB’s sustainability mission. “Our collections are not just about fashion but about telling a story, honoring the environments that inspire us, and reflecting the rich cultural and natural heritage of our inspirations. By merging the vibrant, magical realism of Colombian landscapes with the enduring symbolism of the Baobab tree, we aim to offer pieces that are beautiful and meaningful,” the brand shares. This collection is filled with vibrant colors and intriguing contrasts that pay homage to the true beauty of places where the ocean meets the jungle.
BAOBAB swimwear shares they are “Doing the most, while wearing the least”. Each swimsuit purchased helps restore the coral reel ecosystem in San Andrés Coral Reef in San Andrés, Colombia. According to BAOBAB, their team has “come to understand sustainability as the only guarantee to prolonged, quality life on this planet.”
As a sustainable fashion brand, we are responsible with people and the environment
BAOBAB’s goal is for each garment to tell a story of sustainability. Currently, their products are available in ten department stores and over two hundred boutiques worldwide. Through these partnerships, BAOBAB aims to inspire a global audience to make mindful fashion choices, supporting a future where style and sustainability go hand in hand.
