Opening their doors to the Alys Beach community on October 4, 2024, O-Ku offers an extensive Japanese menu, including sushi, sashimi, nigiri, chef specialties, maki rolls, small plates, and so much more. With O-Ku’s culinary director, Chef Masatomo “Masa” Hamaya, being born and raised in Japan, and after holding titles of executive chef at Ozumo and executive sous chef at the Michelin-starred Ame, Masa honors the tradition of authentic Japanese cuisine and plans to maintain seasonality throughout his dishes. The O-Ku Alys Beach location provides a modern and happening environment through the utilization of sleek decor, additionally implementing a luxury-coastal feel throughout.

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group is beyond excited to host the opening of O-Ku Alys Beach on October 4 and prides themselves on exceptional service. Located in the heart of Alys Beach, this new restaurant showcases its menu that highlights unique ingredients and traditional Japanese techniques in a warm and inviting way. This new location follows the successful launch of O-Ku in Jacksonville Beach in 2022 and other locations scattered throughout the South. O-Ku Alys Beach shares similarities with different locations, while also boasting its own independent flair.

The menu is diverse and approachable, offering something for everyone.

There is sushi, of course, but also a robata, which is a Japanese coal-fired grill that allows us to offer a variety of cooked dishes, including miso-marinated cod, wagyu steak, and chicken yakitori.

As part of The Indigo Hospitality group, O-Ku Alys Beach holds an exceptional standard for both high-quality cuisine and service. “From a menu perspective, it’s modern Japanese. There is sushi, of course, but also a robata, which is a Japanese coal-fired grill that allows us to offer a variety of cooked dishes, including miso-marinated cod, wagyu steak, and chicken yakitori,” Steve Palmer shares, founder, managing partner, and chief vision officer of the nationally recognized Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG).

O-Ku Alys Beach is the perfect spot to enjoy excellent sushi, great company, and exceptional hospitality while giving visitors all the more reason to explore the stunning Alys Beach community.
