October 7–10 Official Runway Schedule & Special Events

South Walton Fashion Week announces the official schedule for its 2015 festivities including the launch party, runway shows, special designer shows, trunk show events, and pop-up shops, all beginning Wednesday, October 7 through Saturday, October 10 in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin’s Town Center, Alys Beach, and throughout South Walton.

Launch Party

The Launch Party kicks off SWFW on Wednesday, October 7 from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at the Alys Shoppe in Alys Beach. The speakeasy-themed party is a ticketed event available for purchase at swfw.org. Ticket holders and guests will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with celebrity judges, emerging designers, and models at this event while enjoying craft cocktails and delicious food.

Style Lounge & pop-Up Shops

The runway shows begin Thursday under the SWFW Tent in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin and continue through Saturday. Guests can walk the Red Carpet from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. each night and then enjoy shopping, sushi, and a cocktail bar in the ZT Motors Style Lounge.

Pop-Up Shops will be open in the lounge every night for the ultimate shopping experience, including: 30A Gear, Belle Permanent Cosmetics, Beverly Meets Martin Leather Co., Shine On Living, Dr. Amber Wiebe Santa Rosa Beach Dental, Sushi by Jeff, Magpies Jewelry, The Salty Sparrow, and Nicole Paloma. CAA Artists Allison Wickey, Justin Gaffrey, Michael McCarty, and Francisco Adaro will also have a pop-up shop featuring their work, and guests can show off their best dresses and smiles in the “Smile Booth” sponsored by Linda Miller, the Smile of 30A.

VIP ticket holders will have exclusive access to the Bud & Alley’s VIP Lounge each night, and the evenings will end with an official after-party taking place at Wine World Grand Boulevard.

Runway Shows

On Thursday, October 8, VIP ticket holders can access the tent early at 5:00 p.m. for a sneak peek of the ZT Motors Style Lounge and enjoy complimentary champagne and light bites from the Bud and Alley’s VIP Lounge. Then Fashion Shows on the Vivo Runway will begin at 7:00 p.m. sharp and run until 10:00 p.m. Runway Shows for Thursday include: Grand Boulevard Sandestin Retail Stores featuring Pretty Please, Brooks Brothers, Chico’s, Altar’d State, J. Crew, The Orvis Company, J. Mclaughlin, J. Jill and Billabong; Silver Sands Premium Outlets featuring Banana Republic; Southern Coalition of Fashion and Design featuring New Orleans–based designers Les Patin, Andi Eaton, Krystal Frame, and Matthew Arthur. Emerging Designers Ragan Creel, Caroline Smith, Vena Kim, and Cayce Collins show their designs and compete for the Emerging Designer of the Year Award. Fab’rik of Grand Boulevard will showcase its looks for the finale show of Thursday night.

The Willow Loves Fashion Rooftop Presentation will jumpstart the festivities Friday, October 9 at The Pearl Hotel in Rosemary Beach from 10:00 a.m. until noon, setting the tone for the essence of South Walton style in this picturesque setting with fantastic views of the Gulf of Mexico. Ophelia Swimwear will host the Coast-to-Coast Trunk Show at their Seaside boutique from 1:00–3:00 p.m. Fashion Shows on the Vivo Runway again begin at 7:00 p.m. and include: Tommy Bahama, Sirens Lingerie with Norma Dean Designs, The Village Boutique, and The 30A Collection by Amy Giles featuring Alys Shoppe, De’javu, Beachfolly, Willow + Mercer, and Mason. Siver Sands Premium Outlets will also show, featuring White House|Black Market and DKNY. Emerging Designers Nikki Manuel, Mallory Hardiman, Adrienne Yunger, and Katherine Faust show their designs and compete for the Emerging Designer of the Year award. Local designer Nicole Paloma showcases her latest designs for the finale of the evening.

Fashionably Late Boutique will kick off Saturday, October 10 events with Bellinis, Bags and Baubles featuring Gigi New York bags in Uptown Grayton from 1:00–3:00 p.m. Fashion Shows on the Vivo Runway begin at 7:00 p.m. and include Emerging Designers Megan Dean, Darlene Ariaza, Tara Skelley, Tieler Garsaud, and Richelle Valenzuela. Ophelia Swimwear, Silver Sands Premium Outlets featuring Saks Off 5th, Emerging Designer 2014 Winner Romey Roe, Roy Blake Smith, and Amanda Valentine will complete SWFW runway shows.

Stick around Saturday night for the presentations of the 2015 Emerging Designer of the Year Award and the 2015 Sheila Goode Model of the Year Awards (male and female). VIE is proud to sponsor the Sheila Goode Award in memory of such a talented and good-hearted woman. The award will be presented by Sheila’s daughter, Hayley Green. VIE art director, Tracey Thomas, will also sit on the esteemed panel of judges for all runway shows October 8–10 to help choose this year’s Model of the Year winner!

Each night’s After Party October 8–10 will be hosted by Wine World in Grand Boulevard beginning 10:30 p.m. See you on the runway!
