Cuddle + Kind are making a difference this Christmas, one toy at a time

With each doll purchased, Cuddle + Kind provides 10 meals to children in need in partnership with the World Food Program USA and the Children’s Hunger Fund!

It all started with the Woodgate family’s creative yet simple idea and the burning desire to build a business that would benefit others. As a small business relying heavily on the word of social media and social sharing, Cuddle + Kind has been able to donate 450,000 meals (and counting) to children in need since opening in 2015. That’s 18.2 million children in 65 countries, including the USA, proving that sharing is caring.

“With a background in health, we recognize the crucial role nutrition plays in a child’s development,” say founders Derek and Jen Woodgate. “As parents, we believe all children should have enough food to eat and an opportunity to thrive, so when we saw a documentary on how widespread childhood hunger is, it made us unbearably sad. On that very day, we decided to do something about it. Our whole family is passionate about what we’re doing and love every doll we make. We sincerely hope you do, too.”

Not only do these soft and cuddly dolls provide meals to children, but as a fair trade company, Cuddle + Kind has also created over 100 jobs, providing living wages to families and giving them hope for a better future.

“Our knitters can now save money to fix their houses and buy some new things for their kids,” says Nina Guevara, a Cuddle + Kind knitting partner in Peru. “They are happy because the job is steady and they are recognized for their talent. This project is giving them hope to have a better life. I am very touched because we are all doing something good for others. This is the real impact of the company.”

Each doll has a name and a story, so you can choose the one that best fits your child’s personality!
