Iguazu Falls, Argentina/Brazil

Discovered in 1541, this magnificent spectacle, which carries the moniker name “Big Water,” originates from the Iguazu River, is composed of 275 individual dropoffs and stretches along the border of Brazil and Argentina. Divided under two countries, it’s officially owned by two UNESCO World Heritage sites: Iguazu National Park in Argentina and the Iguacu National Park in Brazil.

Plitvice Lakes National Parks, Croatia

Eden comes to mind when it comes to the waterfalls of Plitvice Lakes National Park. The park earned its claim as the oldest national park in Southeast Europe and the largest national park in Croatia. It has also made the roster of the UNESCO World Heritage (add link) register. Due to its famous cascading arrangement, sixteen lakes are visible as you walk along the footbridge by the falls. Each lake is distinct in color, ranging from green to grey to blue, and the whole park is a vision of harmoniously saturated hues.

Multnomah Falls, USA

Standing over six hundred feet tall, this exhilarating waterfall comes with a unique story of its own. According to Native American urban legend, Multnomah Falls creation came about to win the love of a young princess who wanted a hidden place to bathe. Currently, you can walk across the waterfall by crossing over the Benson Bridge to get a mind-boggling point of view!

Victoria Falls, Zambia/Zimbabwe

Easily considered one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world, Victoria Falls is also the largest in the world. Imagine walking across this natural wonder! Earning its title as “one of the greatest attractions in Africa,” Victoria Falls is located on the Zambezi River and defines the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. The Falls at Neuschwanstein, Germany
