Register Now for the 7th Annual 30A 10K Thanksgiving Day Races!
The 30A 10K Thanksgiving Day Races feature a 10K, 5K, and one-mile run on November 22, 2018, starting and finishing in downtown Rosemary Beach, Florida. This nonprofit event not only treats runners of all ages and abilities to a fantastic and beautiful course along Scenic Highway 30-A, but also raises money for local charities. In addition, this year the race is partnering with Hilary & Reverie Real Estate on a special stocking stuffer fund-raiser for victims of Hurricane Michael. VIE is proud to be a media sponsor for the 2018 races.
Registration is expected to sell out soon, so don’t delay!
The fun begins on Wednesday, November 21 at the annual pre-race packet pick-up/expo at the Hub on 30A from noon until 7:00 p.m. All runners will receive their race bibs and amazing custom-designed race shirts featuring art by Justin Gaffrey. New this year: the race has partnered with 30A.com to print its race shirts on their signature Dumpster Diver brand material, which is made from recycled plastic water bottles. The 30A 10K is going green!
While the runners are getting their gear at the packet pick-up and race expo, friends and family are invited to shop, eat, and enjoy the festivities at the Hub. Vendors will be out showcasing some great holiday gift ideas. Moreover, the race has a full lineup of fun activities including lawn games, live music, a live holiday performance from the Seaside Repertory Theater, and festive movies on the big screen at night.
Thanksgiving morning, get ready to burn some calories before the big meal as we line up at 7:30 a.m. for the 10K race. The 5K starts at 7:45 a.m., and the one-mile fun run takes place at 9:30 a.m. Stick around afterwards for the FREE post-race breakfast featuring donuts, cheesy grits, cinnamon twists, and much more! Don’t forget to stop by the Zarzaur Law, PA tent for FREE Bloody Marys and mimosas, as well. And while you are enjoying the food and drinks, stay to cheer on the winners at the awards ceremony. These prizes are worth running fast for and go three-deep in each age group for the 5K and 10K.
To date, the 30A 10K, Inc. has donated more than $250,000 for local charities. This year, its charity partners include Sandcastle Kids, The Seaside Rep, the Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance, and the Walton County Cultural Arts Alliance. The 30A 10K, Inc. also is partnering with Hilary & Reverie Real Estate this year in a stocking stuffer toy drive for victims of Hurricane Michael. All participants are asked to bring a toy and/or gift card from select retailers to the Hilary & Reverie table at packet pick-up. The goal is to provide families the means to enjoy the Christmas morning they deserve!
