Goes Round and Round

UTA Artist Space in Beverly Hills, California, was pleased to present its collaborative exhibition Emergency on Planet Earth: In a Time Close to Now in October. The show featured artists Parker and Clayton Calvert, Manny Castro, Todd DiCiurcio, Daniel Fuller, Iva Gueorguieva, Heather Haynes, Jamiroquai, Glenn Kaino, Jason Nichols and Felipe Griebel, Ellen Page, Rob Reynolds Toni Scott, Ai Weiwei, and Nathan Wong. A mix of video, sculpture, painting, and photography, this multisensory exhibition addressed both the environmental and the human impact of our current times. Toni Scott weaves powerful stories presented through painting and sculpture, often referencing fraught histories. Black Eve, seen here, is a striking sculpture serving as a reminder of the power and majesty of Black women.
