The Bachelorettes Guide to Miami

Categories: Travel,
March 13, 2020,

Wedding bells are soon to be ringing—but first, it’s time to celebrate with your girls one last time as a single lady. For many bridesmaids and besties, planning a bachelorette trip can be challenging, especially if you’re traveling to a new city. We’re here to bring you a sense of peace as we break down the top bachelorette trip destinations in the US. These guides will tell you where to stay, eat, and play and give you a sample itinerary to follow if you choose. (You can thank us later.)

Miami is one of the most prominent bachelorette destinations in the country, and for many reasons. This tropical city is packed with countless hotels, bars, restaurants, pools, and clubs perfectly suited for celebrating with your girls (or guys). Don’t forget South Beach, where you can mingle with bronzed beauties straight out of the Sports Illustrated Swim issue, or just live your best life with your bride tribe. The Magic City is the ultimate combination of accommodations for any budget and day or nightlife options for any style and energy level. We’ve got the perfect tips for you to go all out—if your bank account agrees with you—or pregame the bridge’s big day on a moderate budget. Welcome to Miami!

Where to Stay

One of our favorite things about choosing to celebrate your last fling before the ring in Miami is that there is no shortage of hotels, and more seem to be popping up every day. This fierce competition means you can usually get reasonable deals, especially on group bookings.

Tip: Do your research and book as early as possible! You are more likely to score as many benefits as possible when you book at least a few months in advance.

The Miami Beach Edition

Much like other Edition hotel locations, The Miami Beach Edition is tricked out with luxurious decor, homey suites, top-notch amenities (Hello, Le Labo products and Beats Bluetooth speakers!), and award-winning bars and restaurants. The resort is packed with everything you need, so you don’t even have to leave if you don’t want to.

What sets this all-inclusive resort apart from the others is the Basement, featuring a 2,000-square-foot nightclub, rainbow ice rink, and a neon-lit four-lane bowling alley with bowling balls and shoes designed by famous artists. It’s like Studio 54 got a 2020 upgrade! And the restaurants we talked about—celebrity chef Jean Georges Vongerichten created the menu at the Matador Room and the Market at The Edition, and even the bar snacks in the Basement Bowl Lounge are Vongerichten approved. The Basement also throws a party every Wednesday called “Femme Fatale” with complimentary ice skating and slushies just for the ladies. Call in advance for special bottle pricing for bachelorette parties every night of the week!

Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club, Surfside

If you and your besties are a classy bunch or are just looking to be bad and boujee on your girls’ trip, look no further than the Four Seasons Surfside. The Miami legend opened its doors on New Year’s Eve in 1930 and now has a fresh new look and vibe thanks to the addition of 101 tower rooms, cabana studios, and residences. The Surf Club has restored its original cabanas that Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor, Joan Crawford, and Winston Churchill used to party in back in the day. These art deco luxe lounges also have private bathrooms and showers, because why go back to your hotel room when you can take care of business in the ’bana? (Asking for a friend.)

There’s also Le Sirenuse Miami, Mare by Le Sirenuse, and Thomas Keller’s The Surf Club Restaurant to satisfy your hunger—and you can’t forget the bubbly. Between The Champagne Bar and the rolling champagne trolley at The Surf Club Restaurant, your supply will never run dry.

And what’s a girls’ weekend without treating yourself at the spa? Susanne Kaufmann’s facials, Biologique Recherche body treatments, and every kind of massage you can think are available in this wellness retreat. The hammam and steam rooms are a necessity, especially after a late night of fun . . .

Welcome to your oceanfront oasis. #Faena

A post shared by Faena (@faena) on

Faena Miami Beach

This over-the-top gem embodies bachelorette trip goals! Be sure to check out Damien Hirst’s “Gone But Not Forgotten” wooly mammoth skeleton for the perfect photo-op. The Faena’s ocean-front suites with sprawling balconies have amazing views, or you can just relax on their heavenly, fluffy beds. (Good luck getting up in the mornings!) Be sure to pack high-quality outfits to keep up with the supermodel-esque beauties traipsing the resort—and to keep your Instagram looking amazing.

As if we needed to hype up the Faena any more, there’s more to the property than the red-and-white-striped umbrellas along the beach and the grand pool; there are three restaurants that are all must-dos: Los Fuegos by Francis Mallmann, Pao by Paul Qui, and the tropical Veranda. If you leave without experiencing the Veranda’s Samsara Cabaret, then you didn’t do Miami right. This sultry theatrical performance is the perfect mix of aerial choreography, acrobatics, and visionary talent. It’s one for the memories, ladies!

Lennox Hotel Miami Beach

Newer to the Miami scene but no stranger to high-end hospitality, the Lennox Hotel Miami Beach is the perfect destination for your boho bride-to-be! Located in the Historic District of Miami Beach, the Lennox Hotel maintains its original Art Deco and Mediterranean Revival architecture exterior to blend in with the charming character of the city. While preserving the facade of the history Peter Miller Art Deco hotel, Lennox has fashioned entirely new interiors bringing the finest furnishings, upcycled materials, and natural and organic textiles from around the world to create a cutting edge and contemporary space.

Gianni’s at The Villa

A trip to the Versace Mansion when in Miami is mandatory, especially with your girls for the most epic photos in front of the Million Mosaic Pool. Be sure to wear your best Versace-inspired looks and live it up like you’re Naomi, Christy, and Cindy in the ’90s.

Tip: Order the 24K gold margarita and homemade truffle gnocchi, and ask to tour Donatella’s room following dinner. You don’t want to miss this, we promise!

Le Sirenuse Miami

If you had a hard time deciding between the famed Amalfi Coast city of Positano and the Magic City of Miami for your bachelorette trip, this is for you! Home to the second glamorous Le Sirenuse, this glitzy champagne bar is the spot to kick off the evening (dressed to the nines, obviously). Chase the bubbly it with the most exquisite Mediterranean feast, complete with all the seafood and pasta a girl could dream of.

Swan & Bar Bevy

You may or may not have seen the très pretty-in-pink Swan gracing your Instagram feed at some point in the last year since it opened its door to Miami patrons. This is the ideal decision for drinks and bites—and don’t forget to make time for a quick photo shoot. Located in Miami’s trendy Design District, we recommend stopping by for drinks at their rose-colored floral bar or sit al fresco in the twinkling garden before browsing the nearby street art for more photo ops.

From the mind of grillmaster Franics Mallmann, Los Fugos invites all to experience the artistry of Argentine live-fire cooking.

A post shared by Faena (@faena) on

Los Fuegos

The vibe at Francis Mallmann’s Los Fuegos oozes sex appeal. Think shell-encrusted columns and trees entwined with lights outside, and couches draped in leopard inside. Brace yourself for the most epic lunch or GNO, the Argentine way. Their whole experience is not to be missed, because everything tastes better cooked over an open flame (especially after you’ve had a few drinks).

Tip: Get Mallmann’s crazy addictive empanadas. If you’re anything like us, you’ll be licking your plate clean, eager for more. You can also have some fun posing with the animal statues around the restaurant.

Zuma Miami

Celebrate the bride at this waterfront hot spot where you could be rubbing elbows with celebrities. Their VIP room just got some TLC, so your crew can dine on a private terrace with customized menus and Instagram-worthy views of the Miami River. The waterway comes in handy when you need to roll up like true boss baches via boat. Zuma also caters a full-blown dinner with drinks dockside or out at sea—but try not to fall overboard if you’ve had one too many, please.

STORY and LIV

These OG Miami nightclubs have been around for quite some time and have mastered the bachelorette festivities. Be sure to book a club table in advance! Arrive at the club, get escorted to your table, have bottles with fireworks come out regularly, and have the best night with your girls. Don’t forget to check their event calendars to see which celebrity DJs are going to be performing while you’re in town. You don’t want to miss their five-star entertainment!

Miami Bachelorette Trip Itinerary

Day 1 – Thursday

Tip: Book your flight to land either Thursday morning/afternoon, or if you can’t get in town by then, book your flight immediately after work, so you don’t miss a beat.

  1. Check into your hotel to freshen up after your morning travels while you wait for your guests to arrive.
  2. It’s time for some fun in the sun at your hotel’s pool, then get a little R&R before throwing on a cover-up and making your way to lunch.
  3. Head over to The Edition for lunch, and be sure to drink lots of water in addition to loading up on carbs so you can make it through the rest of the night because it’s full-steam ahead!
  4. Return to the pool for an afternoon nap or continue to get rowdy.
  5. Wake up, turn on “Songs That Get Drunk White Girls Excited” playlist on Spotify (which will be your anthem of the weekend while you get your glam on), and then head to dinner at Gianni’s at the Villa or Zuma.
  6. If your entire bride tribe hasn’t arrived yet, head back to the hotel for late-night drinks to welcome your guests. If everyone has arrived, get drinks at Racket or Wood Tavern to ease into the non-stop weekend.

Day 2 – Friday

Tip: Make sure you keep Klean Electrolytes, Pedialyte, charcoal pills, and/or coconut water by your bed to consume the second your eyes open.

  1. Brace yourself as you make your way to Bagatelle for brunch, because everyone is about to get lit.
  2. Head back to the hotel and lounge on the beach. You’ll need to rest after getting wild at Bagatelle and before the evening.
  3. Take some downtime to nap.
  4. Wake up, grab some fresh drinks, and get the fake eyelashes ready, because it’s glam time!
  5. Celebrate the bride and her groom-to-be with a lingerie shower before the evening gets too carried away.
  6. Head to SLS or the Rose Bar at Delano for cocktails before dinner.
  7. Indulge at Nautilus Cabana Club, KYU, or The Surf Club for dinner.
  8. It’s game on! Dance the night away with your baches at the Basement at The Edition, or if you’re feeling a little frisky, head to E11EVEN.

Day 3 – Saturday

Tip: Don’t forget day two’s morning hydration tip. And, if you’re a real OG party planner, you’ll book IV drips to cure everyone’s hangover at REVIV.

  1. Get breakfast at the famous Yardbird and load up on the carbs. You’ll need them!
  2. Book an afternoon boat excursion on GetYourGuide or Sailo, where you’ll get to be the boujee baches you always dreamed of being.
  3. Take a nap!
  4. Get ready to do it all over again—more glamming.
  5. Head to Le Sirenuse or Mr. Chow for dinner.
  6. Say a prayer for your liver and call an Uber to Swan & Bar Bevy to pregame before it’s game time.
  7. Tonight is your night to go hard, so be sure to chug lots of water in the Uber before you roll into the club at STORY or LIV.

Day 4 – Sunday

Tip: Get ready for a pool party day!

  1. After you sleep in and recover from last night’s festivities, it’s time to rally and head to The Palace for the most epic drag brunch of your life! Tip: Be sure to book your reservation far in advance, as this is one of the most popular hot spots in Miami. We recommend doing the 11:00 a.m. show. However, if you are on the struggle bus, sleep in. You’ll probably need it—but not too late, because you have to head to Nikki Beach for Amazing Sundays!
  2. Drink, tan, and party at Nikki Beach for the most epic pool party! But wait—it doesn’t end there.
  3. Up next: Sip.Swim at 1 Hotel.
  4. Go back to your hotel, drink lots of water, and rest because, at this point, your body probably hates you a little bit.
  5. Get dinner at Los Fuegos for one last hoorah, or try Upland or Michael’s Genuine since you thankfully don’t have to be in a swimsuit the next day.
  6. Wrap up the most epic weekend with a toast at Sweet Liberty or Broken Shaker at Freehand Miami.

Day 5 – Monday

1. Book the next flight out, say bye to your besties, and head home. We’ll see you at the wedding!
