First Friday Favorites: Greenery

Yay, it’s friday!

And not just any Friday, but the first one of the year! We hope you had a great start and that you’re ready to rock 2017 like we are. Inspiring our optimism is Pantone’s 2017 Color of the Year, Greenery.

According to Pantone, a universal color-matching system, the refreshing and revitalizing shade symbolizes new beginnings.

“Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment,” says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of Pantone. “Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalize, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another, and a larger purpose.”

Join us in spreading the positive energy as we celebrate the vibrant shade in this year’s First Friday Favorites with (lucky number) seven of our favorite ways to incorporate the color in our lives.

Blaque Label Long-Sleeve Print Dress Greenery VIE post

Dress to Impress

Emerald has hogged the spotlight in fashion, seemingly overshadowing the rest of its green family, but Greenery can be just as appealing. Think about wearing it in a pattern to break up the bright color, as seen on this foliage-inspired Blaque Label Long-Sleeve Print Dress. The color is nature-inspired, so why not wear it on our sleeves?

Haute House Damask Chair Greenery Pantone Blog

Take a Seat

If there’s anything we learned from our photo shoot at Christian Siriano and Brad Walsh’s Connecticut country cottage featured in the 2016 Home & Decor issue, it’s that color can go a long way in the home. Whether it’s on your walls or a piece of furniture, use it as a statement piece. Love this Haute House Damask Chair!

Nailed It

Greenery isn’t the easiest shade to pull off on nails, but we love the idea of mixing it with colors and patterns, making it easier on the eyes.

Probably the easiest and fastest way to refresh a room is with a new piece of art. It’s also a great excuse to invest in this Ashley Longshore painting entitled Peacock Iris Audrey.

Freshly Cut

Who doesn’t love having freshly cut flowers in their home? Bring nature indoors with a beautiful floral centerpiece in various shades of green, with white blooms if you desire. Your house will smell and look great.
