Clé de Peau Beauté’s Latest Artist Collab Is Huge

Ashley Longshore Art Celebrates Beauty Larger than Life

The Queen of Pop Art and former VIE cover artist Sarah Ashley Longshore is known for her larger-than-life colorful paintings commenting on celebrity culture and brash language. Now she’s taken her work to a new platform through a partnership with international cosmetics company Clé de Peau Beauté. Longshore worked along with Clé de Peau’s creative director, Lucia Pieroni, creating artwork for compacts and packaging for the beauty company’s 2016 Holiday Collection. “The collection is inspired by art deco! This collaboration will be available WORLDWIDE this October!” Longshore shared on her Facebook on June 17.

Clé de Peau Beauté, French for “the key to skin,” is a luxurious skincare and makeup collection. Longshore recently traveled to Shanghai for Clé de Peau’s global press conference to announce the collaboration and was joined by the muse and global spokeswoman of Clé de Peau, actress Amanda Seyfried. “It was such a fun day with amazing, beautiful women from all over the world! We were talking about fearless beauty, and what connects us all globally as women is that we want to feel radiant and confident…” Longshore posted on her Instagram, along with a picture from the conference. The event saw the works commissioned by the beauty company featuring Longshore’s paintings of Seyfried donning hats and accessories.

Longshore’s work has gained international attention over the past few years with print and online coverage in some of the world’s most popular publications including Elle.com, Vogue.com, and UsWeekly. Hollywood star Blake Lively is also an avid collector of Longshore’s work. “Ashley appreciates the vibrancy and fun in all things,” Lively said recently. “She celebrates life and all its imperfections, and people and all our imperfections. She only sees beauty in everyone and everything. That attitude is not only powerful, but through her specific lens, it’s infectious.” That attitude partnered perfectly with Clé de Peau Beauté, who believe beauty comes from the radiance within.
